Community Garden Coordinator – Eric Fulda
Eric manages day to day maintenance of the gardens and oversees our projects and events. He began volunteering with Charles Street Gardens during its construction in 2006 and has been the Garden Manager since October 2007. He is always happy to give a tour or help garden members with diggin’ in the dirt.
Assistant Community Garden Coordinator – Carl Sandwick
Carl is Eric’s right hand man and loves to work with the soil at Charles Street. Carl helped with the construction of the community gardens in 2006 and has been dirty ever since. He helps Eric with projects at the garden and never turns down an opportunity to operate power equipment.
Food Forest Manager – Art Gianfermo
Art designed and created the Food Forest at Charles Street Gardens. He is one of the founding members of the Sustainable Community Gardens non-profit organization that started Charles Street Gardens. The goal of his Food Forest permaculture project is to provide fresh produce to families in need via a partnership with Sunnyvale Cares. Art always welcomes new volunteers who wish to help grow food for the hungry and learn more about gardening.
Application Coordinator – Strata Chalup
Strata performs many of the administrative tasks for Charles Street. Her main responsibility is managing the waiting list for garden beds and collecting annual membership renewals. Strata began volunteering during the planning stages of the garden in 2005.
Waiting List Garden Managers – Ann Adams & Jim Hattrup
Ann and Jim have been gardeners at Charles Street Gardens since April of 2008 when the Waiting List Garden was created. They are active in managing many of the Charles Street Gardens perimeter areas including supervision of the Waiting List Garden.
